Solista darbu Latvijas Nacionālajā operā Romāns Poļisadovs sāka 1994. gadā.
2002. gadā dziedātājs ieguva 1.vietu vokālistu konkursā 4. Starptautiskajā Mūzikas festivālā Rodā (Grieķija). Romāns Poļisadovs saņēmis Latvijas Nacionālās operas fonda Gada balvu operai kā 2015./2016. gada labākais operas solists.
