ASV lielāko tehnoloģiju uzņēmumu vadītāji ceturtdien Donalda Trampa rīkotajās vakariņās tika iztaujāti par viņu iekšzemes ieguldījumiem. Prezidents paziņoja, ka tie, kas iegulda ASV, varētu tikt atbrīvoti no jaunajiem tarifiem.
ASV prezidents ceturtdien vakariņās Baltajā namā, kur viņš uzņēma ietekmīgu tehnoloģiju vadītāju grupu, izteica brīdinājumu par pusvadītāju tarifiem.
Prezidents ir skaļi paudis vēlmi redzēt ievērojamas iekšzemes investīcijas no lieliem tehnoloģiju uzņēmumiem. Tramps paziņoja, ka drīzumā ieviesīs “diezgan ievērojamus” tarifus pusvadītāju importam, taču norādīja, ka uzņēmumi, kas pārceļ savu ražošanu uz ASV, varētu atbrīvot savus produktus no nākamās nodevas.
“Mēs ļoti drīz ieviesīsim tarifu. Jūs droši vien dzirdat, ka mēs ieviesīsim diezgan ievērojamu tarifu,” sacīja prezidents, piebilstot, ka tas attiecas uz uzņēmumiem, kas nepārvieto ražošanu uz ASV.
“Mēs ieviesīsim tarifus uzņēmumiem, kas neierodas,” sacīja Tramps. Viņš arī pieminēja Apple izpilddirektoru vārdā, sakot, ka attiecībā uz jaunajām nodevām “Tims Kuks būtu diezgan labā formā”.
Jauni tarifi pusvadītāju importam
Augustā ASV prezidents jau runāja par 100% tarifa ieviešanu pusvadītāju importam pasākumā ar Apple izpilddirektoru Timu Kuku. Tehnoloģiju gigants tolaik solīja veikt papildu 100 miljardu dolāru (85,7 miljardu eiro) investīcijas vietējā ražošanā papildus iepriekš apstiprinātajiem 500 miljardiem dolāru (428,5 miljardiem eiro).
Ceturtdien vakariņu laikā Baltajā namā tādi cilvēki kā Microsoft līdzdibinātājs Bils Geitss, Meta izpilddirektors Marks Zakerbergs un Apple izpilddirektors Tims Kuks nonāca uzmanības centrā, kad Tramps viesiem pie galda jautāja, cik daudz viņi iegulda valstī.
Meta pārstāvis Marks Zakerbergs, kurš sēdēja Trampa labajā pusē, teica 600 miljardus dolāru (514,2 miljardus eiro), Apple pārstāvis Tims Kuks citēja to pašu, un Google pārstāvis Sundars Pičai solīja 250 miljardus dolāru (214,2 miljardus eiro).
“Kā ar Microsoft?” teica Tramps. “Tas ir liels skaitlis.”
Izpilddirektors Satja Nadella teica, ka tas ir līdz 80 miljardiem dolāru (68,6 miljardiem eiro) gadā.
“Labi,” atbildēja Tramps. “Ļoti labi.”
Viesu sarakstā bija iztrūkstošs īlons Masks. Masks, kurš savulaik bija Trampa tuvs sabiedrotais un kuram bija uzdots vadīt Valdības efektivitātes departamentu (DOGE), šogad publiski izšķīrās no Trampa.
Pie galda tā vietā bija viens no Maska konkurentiem mākslīgā intelekta jomā, Sems Altmans no OpenAI.
